Intercropping chickpea–flax for yield and disease management

چکیده
Ascochyta blight (caused by rabiei) is a primary concern of chickpea production worldwide. Intercropping with non-host crop has the potential to suppress this disease and improve resource use efficiency for enhanced yield. This study aimed evaluate effects seeding rate row configuration (Cicer arietinum L.)–flax (Linum usitatissimum L) intercropping on (1) yield seed quality, (2) incidence severity chickpea, (3) land productivity system. Field trials were conducted at Eastern Agricultural Research Center, Sidney, MT, Southern Huntley, in 2020 2021. Chickpea was planted flax four configurations (70% chickpea–30% mixed rows, 50% chickpea–50% alternate 30% chickpea–70% rows). decreased increased proportion rows intercrop. Flax displayed higher competitiveness than resulting protein concentration but content flax. Land equivalent ratio greater one, showing improved (2%–23% monocropping). reduced severity; could reduce (in Huntley) 67% Sidney) that monocropping. These results indicated planting chickpea–flax may be manipulated increase chickpea. Canadian Development Center ‘CDC Leader’ yielded Royal pressure environment Huntley selection resistant cultivars important managing

Effect of Planting Patterns and Vermicompost on Yield and Yield Components in Maize and Beans Intercropping
Intercropping systems compared to monoculture systems can more efficiently use the existing resources which ultimately will lead to increased plant performance. Therefore, to evaluate the benefits of intercropping maize and beans and assess its impact on yield and yield’s component, an experiment was conducted in factorial design with randomized complete block design in three replication, in 20...
متن کاملLegume-Cereal Intercropping Improves Forage Yield, Quality and Degradability.
Intercropping legume with cereal is an extensively applied planting pattern in crop cultivation. However, forage potential and the degradability of harvested mixtures from intercropping system remain unclear. To investigate the feasibility of applying an intercropping system as a forage supply source to ruminants, two consecutive experiments (experiments 1 and 2) involving a field cultivation t...
متن کاملIntercropping corn with soybean, lupin and forages: yield component responses
Intercropping systems influence yield variables of the component crops, such as harvest index, hundred seed weight, number of reproductive organs and number of seeds, within each reproductive unit. Two experiments were carried out at each of two sites during 1993 and 1994. The first experiment investigated the effects of seeding soybean or lupin alone or in combination with one of three forages...

متن کاملAn evaluation of yield in "intercropping of maize and potato"
Abstract To find out how maize and potato can grow and develop in an intercropping system rather than each grown alone in a sole cropping system the following factorial experiment was performend in the frame-work of a randomized complete block three replications in the experimental farm of the faculty of agriculture, Zanjan University in year 2004. Different potato to maize ratios of (1:0), i...
